This month we are marking a milestone here at BRODO: five years of creating and serving simply fresh food! Time has flown since we opened our doors, and Chef Paul Cecconi and Holly Cecconi and the entire team at BRODO would like to say thank you to everyone who’s come by for lunch or dinner over the past five years, picked up some preserves or take-out, or come to a special event.
We’ve won trophies at a number of soup competition, plus a Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award, and have been invited to compete at Gold Medal Plates. We expanded the back of the shop to make room for more catering, which also provides space for Soup Sisters Penticton to make soup for the South Okanagan Women in Need Society.
If you haven’t tasted the menu of soups, salads, and sandwiches, now’s your chance. Enter to win a $200 gift certificate to BRODO! Bring your friends in for lunch or dinner or apply it to one of BRODO’s special events…if you win, it’s your choice on how you’d like to #tastebrodo. Our thank you to the community that has supported us! Enter here by the end of May.
We also need to thank our amazing staff for their hard work and creativity. BRODO would not be such a success without them and everything they do in the front of house, in the kitchen, and behind the scenes.
As our business has grown, Liam McNulty (we profiled him on the blog last year), has stepped up and taken on more responsibility at BRODO, and as we enter our sixth year, we’re pleased to recognize his hard work and dedication with a new title: Restaurant Chef! You will continue to see him in the shop and at our numerous events; be sure to congratulate him!
Find us in Downtown Penticton, at the Community Market, or out in the community, as we look forward to another fantastic five years.
